16th Annual Southern California Eukaryotic Pathogen Symposium!

 
Welcome to the annual SCEP symposium! In the morning, we will open sensory behaviors in parasitic nematodes with Elissa Hallem, PhD., Professor, Microbiology Immunology & Molecular Genetics, University of California, Los Angeles. Presentation title: TBD
 
In the afternoon we will cover human pathogen Toxoplasma gondii with Jon P. Boyle, PhD., Professor, Department of Biological Sciences, Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, University of Pittsburgh. Presentation title: TBD
 
Both of these researchers have been huge supporters of SCEP from the outset sending students and colleagues who come back to join us year after year. It is an exciting opportunity to hear their latest research and celebrate their involvement in our community. 
 
Symposium location: UCR School of Medicine, Education Building II
Time: 8:30am-6pm
Cost: Free (but donations are appreciated)
Free parking will be reserved for external attendees. Details to be shared via email.

Registration/abstract submission opens: July 28, 2026
Abstract and registration deadline: October 16, 2026
 
Abstract submissions for talks and posters are open to all so please share with your cohorts, colleagues, labs. We look forward to seeing you all in the FALL!
